Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share with you what some of our residents, staff and friends have been doing recently. We have been busy knitting helmet liners for the soldiers in the NY Army National Guard's 827th Engineer Company. These soldiers will be leaving for training on February 15th and then will leave for Afghanistan in April where the wool helmet liners will provide much needed and appreciated warmth.
Some folks who could not knit donated money to buy the yarn. In all, we were able to knit 18 of the liners.
