What a lot of fun we had celebrating Mardi Gras. We made the most delicious candy and on fat Tuesday we flipped pancakes! The winners of the most flips won Mardi Gras necklaces.

Celebrating Valentine's Day

Hi,

We had a great time celebrating Valentine's Day. We made Valentine cards to share, had a great time playing Valentine Bingo and danced to all our favorite sweetheart songs at our very own Valentine Dance! We especially liked the Elvis songs.

Knitting Helmet Liners

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share with you what some of our residents, staff and friends have been doing recently. We have been busy knitting helmet liners for the soldiers in the NY Army National Guard's 827th Engineer Company. These soldiers will be leaving for training on February 15th and then will leave for Afghanistan in April where the wool helmet liners will provide much needed and appreciated warmth.

Some folks who could not knit donated money to buy the yarn. In all, we were able to knit 18 of the liners.

Snowmen

Hi,

Saturday we had a great time building snowmen. Yes, building snowmen! They were made from marshmellows and candy. Once made, unlike the real snowmen, they were delicious and we all enjoyed eating them. As you can see in the top picture even our administrator had a great time.
