walking in the park

Above you see a few pictures I took on one of our early morning walks in Neahwa Park. A beautiful memorial walkway was just added to this lovely park. Two mornings a week at 8:30am we go and walk along this walkway. It is so nice to get out and just breathe the fresh air.

Flag Day

Hi everyone,

Hampshire House has a new flag! The old one was getting a little tattered and torn so we decided to get a new one and put up a flag pole. We had a great time learning flag etiquette. We dedicated the flag on Flag Day, June 14th with a ceremony where we sang many of the patriotic songs, finishing with "It's a Grand Old Flag". We shared cupcakes for snack that the residents had decorated with strawberries and blueberries. We then had a great time playing Flag Bingo. It was a fun day and now our new flag waves proudly in the breeze at the front of our facility.

Pie in the Sky visits

We have begun our every monday, once a week trips, to Pie in the Sky for ice cream. They make the best homemade ice cream. The hardest part is choosing a flavor. They have so many! Please check us out at http://www.hampshirehouseacf.com/.

making butter

June is Dairy month. We made butter and then served it to all the residents on a delicious multigrain bread. We were surprised at how good the butter tasted. We decided it was probably because it was so fresh!

We had a great Memorial Day Celebration. We decorated the cake that we shared as a snack on Monday. In the morning some of us went down to watch the parade. In the afternoon we had a special program.
